This is going to be BIG. Friday night Nov. 7, 2008 there will be a mixer at the West
Palm Beach Marriott, which is near the school and near City Place.
Saturday during the day there will be lots of events on the campus and tours of the PBHS Museum.
Saturday night, Nov. 8, 2008 will be a buffet dinner, program and dancing at the
Marriott.
We have already secured the Marriott and started out with a block of rooms
which we can add to. The room rate is locked in at $129.00 for 2 double beds or 1 king size
bed. We have not worked on the food menus, yet, so we won’t have the figures
for Friday and Saturday nights for a while.
Saturday will be free to get on campus. There will be lunches sold – Russo’s subs
or box lunches or both along with Pepsi or Coke wagons. The Dreyfoos School of
the Arts will be putting on short musical and drama shows, tours of the school
and lots of other activities will take place.
We do not have money for mailing, so we are depending on each class to contact their
own class members by e-mail, phone and word of mouth. For instance my class
has many members with unlimited long distance and will be splitting up our phone
list of those with no e-mail for them to call.
We also need more class representatives to join our planning committee.
Our meetings are the third Tuesday of each month at Fire Station #2,
4301 S. Dixie Hwy., West Palm Beach (across from St. Juliana Church).
